African Tribal Art Project with Adoche

Her friends know her as “Mother”, I call her friend.

Adoch comes from Uganda, a landlocked country in East Africa whose diverse landscape encompasses the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains and immense Lake Victoria. Its abundant wildlife includes chimpanzees as well as many rare birds. Remote Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a renowned mountain gorilla sanctuary. Murchison Falls National Park in the northwest is known for its 43 meter-tall waterfall and wildlife such as hippos.

Adoch requested for a full body artwork and I knew I was up for a challenge. Eleven hours later we finished the artwork and were off to shoot her photos. I appreciated her patience and calm demeanor all the while we chatted, laughed while I drew the African Tribal Art patterns across her body.

Thanks so much my friend.
